"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Well, I've had a DeviantART account since 2003 but never used it. I uploaded some of my artwork in one giant burst. It consists of mostly vector artwork I've done as assignments in various classes at OLLU in San Antonio within the past year. I suppose I'll upload more when I have some free time to resize and clean some things up.
Don't worry you'll get your chibi. I've already drawn yours actually. I'm waiting until I get back to do the final line art for all of them (since Illustrator lines rock). Then they shall be colored so be patient!
